Maximilian Jarrett is the Founder and Chief Executive of Abudenta Divina (Media) Ltd a boutique UK registered political consultancy, media production and strategic communications advisory services. He also currently serves as the Special Adviser to the Chair of the Africa Progress Group, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Additionally, he is an Honorary Fellow of Murdoch University, in Perth, Western Australia. He is a member of the International Council of the United Kingdom’s Creative Industries Federation.

In 2017, he served as the final Director-in-charge of the Geneva-based Africa Progress Panel (APP) chaired by the Nobel Laureate and former UN Secretary - General, Kofi Annan. From 2014 to 2016, he served as the Deputy Director of the APP.

Mr. Jarrett has twenty-eight years of professional experience in the field of broadcasting, strategic communications, as well as political and intergovernmental affairs, including over a decade as a senior broadcast journalist and daily current affairs program presenter in the international media sector with the British Broadcasting Corporation World Service (1990-2001); and two decades in the United Nations system (2001-2013).

A passionate Pan-Africanist and internationalist, he was born not very far from the Atlantic Ocean in Monrovia, Liberia.
